Last updated: October 13, 2026
LumiVue, a business name of 16570186 Canada Inc. ("LumiVue," "we"), protects the personal information entrusted to it. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25) and, where it applies, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Privacy Officer
Our Privacy Officer answers any question or request about your information:

What we collect
We collect only what we need for the purposes set out below:
- Quote form: your name, business name, email, phone, the type of display you're interested in and any project details you choose to give us.
- Live chat (Tawk.to), if you turn it on: your messages, your name and email if you give them, and technical data sent by your browser (IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, page viewed, date and time).
- Email and phone: your contact details and the content of our exchanges.
- Customers: billing and delivery address, purchase and rental details, payments and warranty records. For a rental, photos of the equipment taken at delivery and at return.
- Site technical data: like any website, our host records technical logs (IP address, browser, page requested, date and time) to run and protect the site.
Why we use it
We use your information to answer your requests, prepare a quote, deliver, commission or rent a display, invoice, honour the warranty, meet our legal and tax obligations, and protect the site against fraud and abuse. We do not sell your information and do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling. We make no decision based solely on automated processing.
Consent
You consent to the collection described here when you fill in the form, email us, call us or turn on the chat. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to our Privacy Officer; we will tell you if this prevents us from answering your request or serving you. Withdrawal does not affect information the law requires us to keep.
Cookies and similar technologies
Non-essential technologies are off by default. Our site uses:
- Essential storage: a local browser setting (lumivue_cookie_consent) that remembers your choice in the cookie banner. It does not track you across sites.
- HubSpot form: the form appears in a frame provided by HubSpot (hsforms.net). We do not use HubSpot's tracking code, so no HubSpot analytics cookie is set on lumivue.ca. Inside its frame, HubSpot may use technical cookies needed to display the form, protect it against bots and spam, and record your submission. Those cookies are governed by HubSpot's privacy policy.
- Tawk.to live chat (non-essential): loads only if you accept non-essential cookies. Tawk.to then sets its own cookies to keep the conversation going and recognize your browser on a later visit.
You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie Settings" link at the bottom of every page, or delete cookies in your browser settings. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or other advertising trackers. The Google Maps link in our contact details opens Google's site; no map is embedded in our pages.
Who receives your information
We share your information only with the providers that help us serve you, to the extent needed, or when the law requires it:
- HubSpot, Inc. (United States): the form and our customer contact management.
- tawk.to inc. (United States): live chat, only if you turn it on.
- Our web host: site hosting and technical logs.
- Tax or other authorities, when the law requires it.
Some of these providers keep information outside Quebec and Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local laws. Before sharing information outside Quebec, we assess whether it will be adequately protected, and we govern the transfer by contract.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries that don't lead to a sale and chat conversations: deleted 24 months after our last contact, or sooner on request.
- Customers: kept 7 years after the last transaction, to meet our tax obligations and the 3-year manufacturer warranty, then deleted or anonymized.
- Rental inspection photos: kept until the deposit and any claim are settled, then deleted no later than 24 months after the rental ends.
Security
We protect your information with reasonable measures suited to its sensitivity: access limited to the people who need it, accounts protected by passwords and two-factor authentication where the service offers it, and providers that apply their own security safeguards. No transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Your rights
Subject to the exceptions in the law, you may:
- know what information we hold about you and access it;
- have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected;
- withdraw your consent;
- ask us to stop disseminating information or to de-index a link attached to your name, in the cases set out in the law;
- ask us to delete your information when we no longer need it;
- receive the information you gave us in a structured, commonly used technological format, or have it sent to another organization;
- know what information is collected by a tracking technology and how to turn it off.
To exercise a right, write to our Privacy Officer. We will verify your identity, then reply in writing within 30 days. Access is free; reasonable fees for transcription, reproduction or transmission may apply, and we will tell you in advance. If we refuse a request, we will give you the reasons and tell you about your recourses.
Privacy incidents
If an incident affects your information, we take steps to reduce its consequences. If it presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the people affected. We keep a register of all incidents.
Minors
Our site is intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information about people under 14.
